Committed to CSR

To Amor Group, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about involvement in and having a positive impact in the communities in which it operates; from suppliers to local academic organisations and charities. It is also about enhancing employee enjoyment; a key measure of Amor Group achieving its vision of becoming a leading provider of business technology solutions to energy, transport and public sectors.
With this in mind, Amor Group encourages all employees to take an active role in Commit, Amor Group’s CSR programme. This is shaped and driven by a group of volunteers from across the business. It includes facilitating communication, organising social events, charitable activity, managing academic relationships and working customers to integrate Amor Group’s Commit programme with its customers’ CSR policies.
Employees nominate the primary charity Amor Group will support throughout the year and in September 2011 Who Cares? Scotland and Who Cares? Trust was chosen for this year. Who Cares? Scotland supports all of Scotland's children and young people in care. It provides a voice by working directly with young people, listening to what they say and speaking out with them. Amor Group works in partnership with Who Cares? Scotland and Who Cares? Trust on various events and Amor Group employees are awarded one day paid leave per year to volunteer with the charity.

Amor Group sponsors academic achievement, offers worthwhile summer placements to undergraduates, has an active graduate recruitment programme and helps commercialise academic innovation. It works closely with organisations including Glasgow, Strathclyde, Robert Gordon and Coventry University.
Commit also ensures that Amor Group works with suppliers that can demonstrate the active pursuit of their CSR policy in the communities where they work and make every effort to reduce its impact on the environment in its day-to-day business.
