Home News and Events Latest News Releases Marketing Manager to Drive Campaign as Amor Group Aims to Double Revenue by 2012

Monday, 10 August 2009

Scotland’s largest independent IT company, Amor Group, has appointed Jennifer Adams as Group Marketing Manager to drive its marketing campaign as it aims to double revenue by 2012.

Amor Group, which consists of two businesses, Pragma and Real Time, was created in May following a major management buyout from the Sword Group.

The group is aiming to become a leading global provider of business technology solutions to the oil and gas, energy, transport and public sectors, and the development of an over-arching marketing strategy is key to its plans.

With a strong background in strategic marketing, brand development and management, PR, lead generation and leading a marketing team, Jennifer brings over seven years experience in delivering successful creative solutions.

She was previously Head of International Marketing Communications at Sword Ciboodle.

Jennifer’s remit is to develop and implement a marketing strategy to help the business achieve its revenue target of L60million over the next three years.

She said: “I’m delighted to have joined the Amor Group at such a crucial time. Following the management buyout a couple of months ago there is a lot of work to do to build on the new brand and support the individual business units within Pragma and Real Time, which are already well established and respected businesses.

“My remit is ultimately to help the group to reach its target of almost doubling revenue in three years, by analysing the market, directing the brand and building strong and consistent messages, as well as utilising benefits and endorsements for the business to enhance our credibility in the market place.

“I will also be working across the business units to maximise opportunities for cross-selling and attracting additional opportunities that will help the team to grow Pragma, real Time and the Amor Group as a whole.”

Scott Leiper, Amor Group’s Chief Operating Officer, added: “We’re pleased to welcome Jennifer on board and we recognise the vital role that marketing has to play in raising awareness of the Amor Group, as well as the individual companies and all that they offer clients.

“Following the management buyout we have started with £32million forecast revenues and 330 staff, and we have clear plans to significantly increase this by 2012. Marketing is an essential tool and I know Jennifer will be key to our development over the coming few years.”

Pragma has a global customer base, the majority of which are oil and gas industry operators and contractors. It provides IT operational support and disaster recovery services for infrastructure and oil and gas specialist software applications.

Real Time specialises in the provision of IT consultancy, professional services and solutions to the oil and gas, aviation, telecommunications, utilities and public sectors. It also has offices in Edinburgh, London, Houston and Aberdeen.
